The Kids Ministry position will help First Baptist fulfill our mission of making disciples of Jesus by partnering with parents to see kids get connected to our church, take next steps in their spiritual development, and grow in their knowledge of God’s Word. Kids Ministry is newborn through 5th Grade.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

  • Give leadership to all Sunday morning Kids ministries.
  • Recruit, develop, and oversee all Kids Connection Group leaders
  • Oversee Kids Worship and ensure it’s an engaging and enriching experience for all ages
  • Give Leadership to all Kids Wednesday Night Discipleship Ministry
  • Plan and coordinate our annual events such as Vacation Bible School and Kids Camp
  • Give leadership to a Kids Baptism Class, Kids New Members class, and Child/Parent Dedication
  • Work with relevant staff in Outreach events for Kids Ministry such as Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, Pool Parties, etc.
  • Oversee the calendaring and budgeting process for Kids Ministry
  • Supervise and invest in Kids Ministry employees such as coordinators, interns, etc.
  • Supervise all paid and volunteer childcare workers
  • Ensure all volunteers are properly background checked
  • Provide administrative oversight to First Steps Christian Preschool and the FSCP Director
  • Attend one of our three worship services weekly
  • Work as part of a ministry team under the supervision of the Lead Pastor
  • All other duties as assigned
