Director of Children's Ministry

First Baptist Church of McMinnville Tenn., is prayerfully seeking an enthusiastic Full-Time Director of Children’s ministries with a passion for discipleship of children birth through 5th grade.

We are a 500+ church located in a growing community about 75 miles from Nashville or Chattanooga TN. The Children’s Director will join our team as we continue our strategy for reaching and discipling families and will be responsible for children’s ministry.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of College degree in Bible/Ministry with 4+ years experience in children's ministry
• Knowledge of the Bible, faith development, and educational methods
• Personable and approaches ministry with energy and a positive attitude
• Strong work ethic, effective time management, and organizational skills
• Mission Minded
• Involved in congregational life
• Passes a background check

Job Description:

• Acts as a spiritual mentor for students
• Plan/Coordinates the Sunday AM/PM and Wednesday PM children's Bible classes and church services
• Counsels child at parent's request or refers to outside agency if needed
• Attends the extracurricular events of students
• Organize events each month
• Propose and manage the children's budget wisely
• Create social media content for children's ministry
• Organize/execute/lead summer children's camp
• Design and order children's group apparel
• Clearly and consistently communicate with parents
• Complete training/continuing education/ministry yearly
• Work as a collaborator with church leaders and staff
• Incorporate praise and worship in weekly children's services
