GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Pastor of Outreach & Care (POC) will help First Baptist fulfill our mission of making disciples of Jesus through two primary areas—Outreach and Congregational Care. The breakdown of these positions are approximately 70% Outreach & 30% Congregational Care.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Outreach
Develop mission partnerships locally, globally, nationally
Plan annual mission trips
Oversee current ministries such as our Oakley Ministry Center & The Jesus Tent at Bonnaroo
Oversee the Welcome Team & guest experience
Oversee the Guest-Follow Process
Work with relevant staff for church-wide outreach initiatives

Congregational Care
Oversee pastoral care systems including hospital visits, benevolence, counseling referrals, crisis response.
Lead the Starting Point Class New Members Class
Oversee Compassion & Counseling ministries (grief care, benevolence)
Oversee the Deacon Family Ministry

Other
Attend one of our three worship services weekly
Work as part of a ministry team under the supervision of the Lead Pastor
All other duties as assigned
