Pastor Job Description:

Be an ordained Non-Calvinist/Non-Reformed Baptist Minister with at least 1 to 3 years’ pastoral experience, whose life and character reflect the qualifications and standards listed in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:7-9, in conjunction with the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.

• Preaching and Teaching: Deliver biblically sound sermons and provide spiritual instruction in accordance with the above spiritual standards and lead the church members in observance of the Lord’s given ordinances.
• Shepherding and Pastoral Care: Provide guidance, counseling, and support to church members, including visitation to the sick, bereaved, and homebound.
• Discipleship and Evangelism: Encourage and equip the congregation to grow in their faith and actively share the Gospel within the community and groups of all ages.
• Engagement with the Community: Represent the church in the local community, foster relationships with other churches, denominational leaders and participate in SBC conventions in matters of mutual interest and concern; keep the church informed of denominational development; represent the church in civic matters.
• Cooperation with the Deacon Body: To make arrangements for all speakers and special meetings and, in his absence, be responsible for pulpit speakers.
• Availability: To conduct counseling sessions; conduct funerals and perform wedding ceremonies between one biological man and one biological woman only.
• Leadership: To the Deacons, Trustees, church officers and committees as they perform their assigned responsibilities; train and spiritually lead deacons in their ministry.
