Minister of Music and Worship

First Baptist Church of Jesup is prayerfully seeking a full-time Minister of Music and Worship who is a Christ-follower with musical literacy, loves people, and desires to raise next generation music leaders. We desire someone to lead and develop a Christ-centered music and worship ministry that glorifies God and supports the mission of the church. This individual will work closely with the Lead Pastor and church staff to plan, coordinate, and lead meaningful gathered worship experiences that engage the congregation and reflect the heart of our church. The Minister of Music and Worship is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading the church's music and worship, as well as the audio-visual ministries. This includes the worship team (musicians, vocalists, choirs, praise teams, volunteers, and AV technicians) who facilitate gathered worship events which include adults, and/or students, and/or children.

Qualifications

1. A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to music ministry;
2. Agreement with the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message and the mission of First Baptist Church of Jesup;
3. Demonstrated ability to lead congregational worship and direct choirs;
4. Working knowledge of ProPresenter and/or other music worship software;
5. Proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental music with the ability to read music;
6. Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Desired education and experience include a bachelor's degree or higher in music from an accredited university with seminary work or degree beneficial and previous experience serving in a church music and corporate worship leadership role.
