The Student Pastor position exists to lead the discipleship of middle school and high school students, helping them grow in their relationship with Christ and engage in His mission.
The Student Pastor at Bellevue walks alongside students and their families during one of the most important seasons of life, helping young people become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking an experienced Student Pastor with a proven track record of leading healthy student ministry, developing leaders, partnering with parents, and building a gospel-centered culture that reaches and disciples students.
The Opportunity
Bellevue's student ministry is healthy, growing, and making an impact. Students are being reached, discipled, and equipped to follow Christ.
We are looking for a pastor who can build on this strong foundation by providing biblical leadership, developing volunteers and student leaders, strengthening partnerships with parents, and helping the ministry continue to grow in both depth and reach.
Primary Responsibilities
The Student Pastor will:
- Lead the overall vision, strategy, and direction of student ministry (grades 6-12).
- Share the gospel and create opportunities for students to come to faith in Christ.
- Develop a culture of discipleship that helps students grow in spiritual maturity.
- Partner with parents as the primary disciplers of their children.
- Recruit, train, equip, and encourage volunteer leaders.
- Oversee Life Groups and all student Bible teaching environments.
- Plan and lead student worship gatherings, retreats, camps, mission trips, and outreach events.
- Develop student leaders and create opportunities for students to serve and lead.
- Engage students in missions, evangelism, and community outreach.
- Work closely with the church staff to maintain a unified discipleship pathway from childhood through adulthood.
- Manage ministry budgets, resources, facilities usage, and ministry communication.
- Provide leadership for student ministry interns and future ministry leaders.
Who We're Looking For
Experience
We are seeking a student pastor who called to the ministry, has already demonstrated effectiveness in student ministry and is ready to lead at a high level.
Preferred qualifications include:
- At least 3-5 years of successful student ministry leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and empower volunteer leaders.
- Proven success in partnering with parents in the discipleship process.
- Strong biblical teaching, communication, and pastoral care skills.
- Bachelor’s degree and Seminary training or equivalent ministry preparation.
- Experience leading a growing and healthy student ministry environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary ($60,000-$75,000 depending on experience and qualifications)
